9-1-1 For Kids

Have you met Toby Talbot? Toby is our 9-1-1 mascot, and loves to teach kids all about 9-1-1.

The Talbot County Emergency Management Agency sponsors the 9-1-1 for Kids program in County Schools for First Graders. The children learn about the importance of 9-1-1 and what to do in an emergency. A portion of the program shows the children what happens when they dial 9-1-1 through the use of a simulator.

The children receive mementoes of their experience as follows:

  • 9-1-1 Coloring Book
    Funded by Elks Lodge 1622
  • Ruler, Stickers, Magnet, and Pencils, etc.
Funded by Maryland Emergency Number Systems Board

The program has been very well received by Talbot County's children and the community. This is a program that brings great pride to Talbot County Government.
